I have not worn orange for about 10 years. I’m not sure exactly why as my wardrobe is bursting with a rainbow of shades. Orange has just never been that interesting to me. As a hair colour, on the other hand, I have always been a bit obsessed (Hi red-headed friends who read this, I […]
Paintings
Polka dot it.
New paintings, cup-a-soup in a polka dot mug and nice clothes for pointless occasions. I love my moon brooch btw, it’s my favorite. 50p at a car boot sale. Can’t wait for summer, so I can go to the huge one by my house before it shuts down for good. Haha the last photo makes […]
Bop it, pop it
Balloon wall photo by Scarborough Fair and art by Robin F. Williams (found on BOOOOOOOM, the best art blog ever). Can you believe those are paintings? The metallic balloons are incredibly well painted. Inspiring!
Christmas Preperations
I have left my Christmas cards to the printer to make a few copies to send to friends and family. And perhaps to sell as well, if someone is interested. I love christmas, so I tried to think of my favorite things to include in the cards. These include: christmas stars, snowballs, mittens, gingerbread cookie […]
You, miu miu
You, miu miu, originally uploaded by balloons and bowties. Stayed up late to complete the painting last night. It was worth it, turned out better than I expected. Doesn’t look exactly like Mikaela Söderström, but artistic priviliges (and lack of technical skill but shhh) means I can interpret it anyway I want! I’m thinking of […]
Pink Pink Pink
Today I am going to finish my miu miu painting, the pink is done already, just the black and white left. Here are some old pink paintings of mine. I really do like black, white, grey and pink together!
Ilustrator’s illusion
Richard Gray is the amazing artist who illustrated these women. I love how powerful they are, they really pull you in with their eyes. I also love how some seem so simple while others are much more detailed, yet it never looks fussy. Great work, that definitely needs to be shared!
Creative Chaos
Today * I made a glorious meal of sirloin steak, oven roasted vegetables and bernaise sauce * I spent most of my time on my bed half-watching In Treatment, half-reading blogs * I sketched and painted a loius vuitton bunny * Did most of this whilst still in bed
Golden Summer
I used photobucket and jeez, this turned out big! I could never be bothered to upload my pictures to another website before blogging them but it really is worth it. Just made a gif. to show how different a painting can look in different lighting. The gold paint just shines in the light. Is it just […]
Paint then Faint
New paintings finished, the first one is my favorite in a long while. I’ve been sitting on the sketch for a while, wondering what colours to use. I always get scared that painting too soon will ruin the original idea and I am glad I waited since it came out just the way i wanted […]

To my etsy shop, which I have been working on setting up. These have been made into A3 prints, which a white border, perfect for framing! I still need to figure things out like prices of postage and of the prints, but after I get back to Reading things should take off.
