I have finally gotten round to completing this painting after putting it aside many moons ago. I had painted part of the hair, the base for the face and the wave, but was really unhappy with the colour scheme. I had started to stray from more cool blues into purples and greens and to be […]
Living near Stockholm means living in constant temptation of beautiful things. Some of those things are notebooks. And many of those are by Rifle Paper Co., a company that produce gorgeous stationary, calenders and art prints. Sometimes things are just too readily available; I always find myself drifting towards their section in various design stores […]
So, I promised a while back to introduce Batman, my syrian hamster, and star of my new header. I’ve had him for a few months and have trained him up to come when I call (except when he is out and about..then his desire for freedom and strange crumbs is too strong to resist!) and […]

Liselotte Watkins is in my top five artists. I love how she captures so much with simply lines, but also creates amazing textures and life using smaller details. I hope to one day own a piece myself, but it is very expensive. Needless to say I was thrilled to open my Swedish Elle my mother […]
is one of my favorite illustrators! Here is a follow up from my previous post on my new top from H&M, which features the girl in the first picture. These are some of my favorite illustrations from her website. I think you should all get the top by the way, as it is very comfortable, […]
A few days before Christmas, I was reading Haruki Murakami’s “Blind Woman, Sleeping Willow”, and wearing a new favorite top with a Laura Laine illustration on it, and my old lady hat. The book is really weird but good, I read a few stories each night before bed.
I am working on a legitimate essay question about cat cafés in Japan. Awesome! I have also been painting alot this week, trying to make a set of Christmas cards to sell on etsy (maybe) and to give to friends and family. Hopefully they will be printed by Sunday! These are some of the things […]
Richard Gray is the amazing artist who illustrated these women. I love how powerful they are, they really pull you in with their eyes. I also love how some seem so simple while others are much more detailed, yet it never looks fussy. Great work, that definitely needs to be shared!
