I joined a knitting site called Ravelry (fridanoodle there too), mainly for finding free patterns but I am getting hooked. Raverly works like a forum where you can connect with other knitters/designers, as well as share your work and ask questions. I have been knitting a lot more in the recent months and felt like it was time to commit to the craft, as it does require time and practise. Luckily I find it is a perfect past time when you are having a Netflix’n’chill day, or when travelling.
I am almost done with my first sweater, and having learned to cable knit for it I am super proud of my progress so far! I am also mid way through a cute scarf but it is on the to-do-later list for the time being.
These are the things I picked up at the sewing festival last weekend. And after some contact with Ullcentrum I have placed an order for the previously mysterious ombre blue grey yarn I mentioned in my earlier post, along with a new exciting project!
Jumbo 12mm Magic Loop
Anisia Poly-Kid Mohair mix in pidgeon blue and salmon
Drops Brushed Alpaca Silk in cream, pidgeon blue and a pinky coral
Gorgeous pidgeon blue, pastel lime green, and speckled grey tweed from Magasin Duett
Pink self striping yarn from Opalgarn
Better pick those knitting needles up and get crafting!
